19 countries took place in Eurovision Song Contest 1980 was the 25th Eurovision Song Contest and was

Also, for a single occasion takes place in Morocco. Ultimately, however, 19 countries will take part since the last time Israel withdrew its participation. The April 19 coincided with a Jewish religious holiday, which apparently had been forgotten by the Israeli TV when originally signed up. As regards the record, we had a little change. The points from that year onwards there are the order of the songs but in ascending order, from 1 degree to 12 to increase interest at the time of voting. An innovation of 1980 not repeated again that each song was presented on stage to television viewers by a special envoy of each country and language of each country. The Greek participation presented by Kelly jacket .. Italy was represented by well-known Alan Sorrento and «Non so che darei» which was a huge success in Greece, and were known as songs that Turkey and Morocco, but Ireland will win a second prize, 10 years after Dana and the «All kinds of everything», with the beautiful ballad «Whats another year» interpreted by Johnny Logan.
