Cyprus song at Eurovision 2010


Cyprus selected the song that will represent the country at the Eurovision Song contest of 2010


Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation announces the selection of Cyprus to participate in the 56th Eurovision Song Contest Eurovision 2011, submitted 11 compositions.
The 7-member jury appointed by the CBC hear all the songs and choose the song that will represent Cyprus in the competition.

The winning song is San aggelos sagapisas (I loved you like an angel), sung by Christos Mylordou to representthe country at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany. The song will be presented in the end of February.

The selected song will be presented by the artist Christo Mylordo on the end of February at a special show, which will be televised by CBC.

The whole selection process supervised by the auditing firm KPMG.

The lyrics were penned by Michalis Antoniou, the president of OGAE Cyprus. The music was composed by Andreas Anastasiou of our partner website esctime.com. The song is said to be a slow song with ethnic elements and Balkan sound.

Christos Mylordou was chosen to be the Cypriot representative for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest after he won the local talent-show Performance, held few months ago. He will try to make his country qualify to the grand final for the second time in a row from the first half of the second semifinal.
