Buranovskiye Babushki in Baku for Russia


Russian entry for Eurovision 2012 is a big suprise.


Buranovskiye Babushki with their song Party for everybody, won the national final of Russia and therefore will represent the country in the 57th Eurovision Song Contest next May in Baku.

Buranovskiye Babushk won with 38.51% share, while Dima Bilan with Yulia Volkova came in second place with 29.25% and Aida & Timati duo took third place with 26.74% share.

Their folklore music will be a huge suprise at Eurovision 2012. A very happy music sounds with Buranovskiye Babushki singing with realy nice voices that look to enjoy their song.

Buranovskiye Babushki is a group of six singing octagenarians. Their combined age is around 500 years, and they’ll be singing their song Party For Everybody in Baku in traditional peasant wear as the video.

Buranovskiye Babushki previously entered Russias national selection in 2010 with their song Kak zhit – How To Live. They placed third that year, losing out to Peter Nalitch (Lost and Forgotten).
